Job description

We are bloomon! We turn the traditional flower industry on its head with a unique style, ultra fresh flowers, delivered directly from our growers to our customers. The flower sector is huge with over €50 billion in annual turnover but 99% of the sector still operates offline. bloomon is driving the shift to online and is building the first global flower brand in the luxury sector. To do this, we need you! A rebel like us, to grow the family.

Our company and team are expanding rapidly. With an international team of over 80 highly motivated and ambitious people, we are active in five countries. bloomon has its main office in Amsterdam, but also operates out of Berlin, London and Taiwan. The bloomon founder team consists of seasoned e-commerce experts (ex-Rocket Internet) as well as strategy-consultants (The Boston Consulting Group) and has raised funding from renowned VCs as well as international entrepreneurs.

From December 2016, we are looking for someone who can lead and manage all e-mail communication streams to our (prospect) customers in all markets. As E-mail marketeer, you track, manage and improve all customer journey touchpoints, ensuring the right tone of voice through all messaging. By analysing data you will continuously review and optimise our communications cycle (target audience, frequency, message) to make sure we get it right, every time.

  • BA/MA degree with 0 - 2 years working experience
  • A desire to be a superhero in customer communication really thinks from the customer perspective
  • Strong capability to plan, structure and keep an overview of activities
  • Feel for language
  • Affinity with online marketing
  • Hit’s the right tone of voice but is also numbers driven
  • Commercial mindset
  • Pre: experience as CRM / E-mail / Database marketer
  • Pre: tooling like MailChimp, campaign monitor
  • Keeps cool under pressure

Key activities:

  • Keep track and manage customer journey touchpoints across all markets
  • Manage all repeat and one-off mailings and mass communications to our customer base
  • Request, manage and advise content from the creative team and copywriters for all languages
  • Avoid overlaps or mistakes in our communication messages
  • Keep in touch with customer service and operational departments to be able to quickly translate new information into relevant customer communication
  • Signal and follow up on topics to proactively communicate and educate customers, to minimise questions and frustrations from customers
  • Structure and execute new campaigns to retain and reactivate customers and boost referrals
